We Are Waiting For You
We are excited to be moving back to normal, and the evidence is in the number of shows that are coming up this Spring and Summer in the plastics industry.
While MDM West has traditionally been in February, attracting a broad community of colleagues seeking the sun, we can confirm that you can expect beautiful weather in April as well.
We are excited at how much has changed in our industry during the pandemic. Our suppliers are back and ready to receive you from discussing the future.
Here are a few highlights of the show that we believe are noteworthy.

IIOT (Industrial Internet of Things), AI (Artificial Intelligence) and ML (Machine Learning) have now picked up exponential speed, and we are standing in the middle of a whirlwind of conversation and information. To understand how to integrate this into your process, here are a couple of booths worthy of a visit.
Arburg, Booth 3945, Digitalization – At Plastec West, an electric ALLROUNDER 470 A, integrated with a fully automated production cell, produces a foldable drinking cup. The cup weighs 84 g, the cycle time is 45 s. LSR has a high level of stability that characterizes the material as a good component for the cup to be folded. For processing LSR, the machine is equipped as standard with the aXw Control ScrewPilot for high-precision injection and the aXw Control PressurePilot. This bionically optimized pressure regulation enlarges the process window for a robust and reproducible injection molding process. With ALS, production data can be recorded and analyzed in real-time, significantly increasing the efficiency and transparency of production. You will also have the chance to learn more about arburXworld, the free customer portal that brings Arburg to you virtually.
Conair Booth #4024 SmartServices – Conair’s unique cloud-based platform offers you the ability to connect all of your plastics processing equipment to a single web-based dashboard, analyzing equipment data into usable, actionable information for your whole team.
Sepro, Booth 4120 – Sepro continues to inspire the industry with automation solutions that are relevant and useful today. With over 47 years of experience and 40,000 machines equipped with Sepro robots, their open integration platform continues to be one of the best in the industry.
The expansion of 3D Printing/Additive Manufacturing can be seen in the Additive Manufacturing area of the show floor.
Arburg Freeformer, Booth #3708– ARBURG’s APF (Arburg Plastic Freeforming) additive technology takes the open material printing platform to a new level by utilizing thermoplastic pellets to print single or multi-material components. Companies can print parts for prototyping to production applications in the thermoplastic materials of their choice.
Visitors will also be able to tour the impressive production facility which demonstrates a high level of automation and vertically integrated manufacturing while utilizing Industry 4.0 within the process.
For North American visitors, ARBURG Inc., organizes the entire trip from the US and Canada. The package includes flights, hotel, meals, and transportation.
